THE PAST
I received my GED at 16 and started college immediately. I attended Santa Fe Community College in New Mexico where I finished my Associates Degree in Media Arts with Honors at the age of 17. I took classes specializing in the Adobe Suite, Cinema 4D, and design communications.
After graduating from my Associates Degree, I was accepted to West Virginia Univeristy's Graphic Design program. During my time at WVU, I took part in the honor society Phi Sigma Theta, as well as design competitions like Designing Across Divides, where I was chosen to have my work displayed on High Street in Morgantown, WV. I also participated in the Juried Student Exhibition twice, receiving an award for my photography in 2020.
I graduated top of my class and Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design in December 2020.
THE PRESENT
Shortly after graduation, I moved to Las Vegas to start my career. I have worked as the Marketing Director/Graphic Designer for Temple Beth Sholom and spent over two years as the Vice President of Design & Technology at Girlz, Ink in Las Vegas. I am currently working on developing my coding skills further and taking on various freelance design opportunities.
THE FUTURE
I am deeply inspired by helping others and promoting the idea that you don't have to go to college to be a designer! Over the past two and a half years I have been in charge of design at an incredibly successful Permanent Makeup Studio. I am working on building a full online course that is afforadble and allows for beauty solopreneur's to take charge of their own design and social media without having to outsource – saving themselves valuable time and money! No one knows your client better than you know your client. Consider signing up for my newsletter to learn more about this course!
